Motivation is the Key to Your Success - By Yvonne F. Brown
Motivation is the key to any success you want. If you are not properly motivated, you won't have the energy and mindset to achieve the goals and plans that you have. This is a problem for many people, but it doesn't have to be one of yours. There are various ways that you can stay motivated throughout your quest for success. Think of the reasons why you're trying to reach these goals. Is it to look better, feel better, act better, make more money or some other reason? As long as the outcome is important to you, it will be easier to stay motivated.
If you need help with motivation and planning for your personal and career life, Yvonne Brown can assist you. She is a mentor, coach and trainer that specializes in business communications, management communications, motivational meetings, and workplace diversity. She works with individuals, corporations and associations.

"Stop talking at me like that!" - How to stand up for yourself in tough Situations
A person with no conflict on the job or at home should be added to the Neiman Marcus one-of-a-kind gift catalog. Conflict can result from excellent work or poor work, from good intentions or evil intentions, from appropriate behavior or inappropriate behavior, from praise or insult.
Conflict inevitably surfaces, so you should know how to identify and deal with it, so that it does not drain your energy, sabotage your effectiveness, and infect your life.
Minor issues become major issues fast. Often all it takes is a smirk, a glance, a shrug, a mutter or a 'is that all you found wrong with it?' for the thunder clouds to roll in. Soon you find yourself on edge and angry words that once smoldered shoot from your mouth like bullets from a gun shooting and hurting anyone who crosses your path.
Register for this seminar, reclaim your sanity, and learn how to stand up for yourself in the toughest of situations.

Here's what people say about our seminars

I'm a hard worker and very conscientious in my work. I get along well with my colleagues and my manager. I even get good reviews, but I can't seem to get ahead and get promoted. I think I'm doing the right things. What am I missing?
Answer:
As I mentioned in the seminar, listening skills are crucial to good communications but it's easier said than done. Listening takes concentration and a commitment to quieting the internal noise in our minds while focusing on the person we are communicating with.
There was a time when simply doing the things you mention was enough to get you noticed and help you on the road to greater responsibility. Those days are gone. Today you are a brand. Your brand is multidimensional. It is not enough to be a good individual contributor. You must build your brand by getting high profile projects.
The means to this end is having a good internal and external network. You do this by marketing your brand through article writing, speaking at events, and volunteering for the right corporate programs. In so doing, you present opportunities to attract sponsors who will advocate on your behalf at the most opportune time.
While this is just the beginning, by taking these few steps you will raise your profile within the organization and increase your promotion prospects.
